Many exciting and challenging activities were on offer for GCC students last week for the annual Active Schools Week. Zumba, Kung Fu, Spinning, Cookery Demonstrations, Tag Rugby, Bootcamp and a Sports Day with 5k walk / run meant the entire student body and staff had the chance to participate. Tuesday saw students from Coláiste Pobail Osraí and Gaelcholáiste Phort Láirge spending the day with us and taking part in many activities organised and supervised by Transition Years. The week culminated with a game of Rounders between sixth year students and staff who were all in flying form after the graduation ceremony the previous night. Well done to all who were involved and especially the organisers Iníon Ní Iréis, Maistir O Briain and all the people who gave the various classes and talks.
