Talent shines for Scléip competition

HomeUncategorizedTalent shines for Scléip competition

Nerves were in tatters as sixty hopeful students and their three teachers boarded the bus to Clontarf early last Friday morning. The reason? The long awaited Gael Linn Scléip talent competition, an Irish event especially for students of Gaelcholáistí nationwide. First up on stage was the junior dance group called Eitre na Fuama, followed by the senior dance group, Na hÉiliminteach. Next up was Shónagh Ní Threabhair who sang ‘Supermarket Flowers’, then followed Tadhg Ó Grifín who sang an original song called ‘Abhainn na nGrá’. Taboo (Tadgh, Allanah and Barbara), Saoirse and First Year drama group An Rang Fíorfa. In the end GCC managed to grab five out of seven places in the final much to everyone’s delight. We are so proud of the amazing talent amongst the students in the school and a huge thanks to Iníon Ní Shé, Iníon Ní Inglis Ní Eideáin, and Béan Mhic Raghnaill for all their hardwork and time. The finals take place during the last week of January 2018. Go n-éirí libh ar fad!
