Idirbhliain 49 TY students and 4 teachers have just returned from a most enjoyable trip to Barcelona. The group left in the early hours of Thursday morning, arriving in Barcelona at 9.50 am. There was a full day sightseeing programme arranged, visiting the Gothic Quarter and Cathedral, Casa Mila, Park Guell, Gaudi House Museum and also Nou Camp, home to Barcelona FC. After a very long and busy day students made their way to their hotel in Salou for a much needed rest. Day 2 was a fun filled day spent in Port Aventura theme Park. Saturday again was a busy day with lots to see and do including some time on the beach in Salou and a trip to La Ramba , a street in central Barcelona, popular with tourists and locals alike. That night the students enjoyed a Magic Fountain Water show before returning to their hotel. The last day included a trip to Monserrat, a beautiful Benedictine Monestery in the mountains and also a visit to Barcelona Aquarium and Ice skating. Turas Scoile First Year students finished the year with a school tour to Kippure Estate in Wicklow. A great day was had by all, with lots of climbing activities, orienteering, and survival skills. The second year students traveled to Shielbaggen in Wexford for water activities and team building exercises. The students thoroughly enjoyed the day. Many thanks to the teachers who organised the trips and to the teachers who accompanied the students.
